Keshi Quits Super Eaglesl!

Stephen Keshi has quit his position as Super Eagles coach following the team’s elimination from the Brazil 2014 World Cup.

Complete Sports has it on good authority that the former Nigeria captain bid his players an emotional farewell in the dressing room inside the Estadio Nacional de Brasil moments after their 2-0 Round of 16 loss to France.

One of the players told Complete Sports in confidence that Keshi said he would no longer carry on as national team boss.

“The coach was very emotional as he told us he was done with the Super Eagles,” the player said. “He hugged us individually and said he would miss us all. We will miss him too.”

  • He tried but he shuld ve done better.thumbup anyway, this team is not our future eagles we hoped for.Our future eagles are coming on the way ‘Ihenachoes U-21 boys’.Keshi thank you, bye bye with your eagles that have ball possesions but no attaching sense. Please sombody congratulate Yobo for me for his 100 caps and his goal that ends It.

  • Finally, finally, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi the man who got Nigerians back to start believing in the Eagles again, the man who got Africans to start respecting our national team again bows out for good because in the green eyes of many NFF Technical committee members full of envy and inferiority complex who hated him and his guts with a passion as if he snatched their wives from them, the man was never going to be as good as their white-skinned journey-men masquerading as football coaches. I guess they can quietly go and pump their champagne now and after that, put a call through to their clients they’ve been fronting for these past 2 years! Their emergency-football-expert partners outside the NFF Technical Committee acting as touts for some white-skinned journey-men good enough to thrive only in corruption-laden climes like ours, can also dust up the CVs and Power point projectors of their clients now and begin to make the necessary moves and make the necessary calls. In a nation that celebrates mediocrity and a neighbour’s success spills out the bile from our gall bladders as it brings to the fore our own failures as individuals, we’d rather pull down those better than us if only to reduce them to our level. Some people are already talking of Sunday Olise as if Nigeria will suddenly wake up tomorrow to begin to value quality. As good as Olise can be, he will go the same way as Keshi because the Ukwuani boy is as principled as the Aniocha one that just stepped aside and in these parts, being your own man and principled will always be seen by midget minded fellows who want to play god over their superiors as being arrogant and rude. Come to think of it: was Olise not the captain of the Super Eagles when Amodu and Keshi qualified us for Korea-Japan 2002? Why were the Technical crew and players who stood their ground based on principles dropped? They better hurry up and get us their white experts they will be paying millions to empty our stadia again when Eagles play even with no gate fees charged. Good luck Nigeria!
