Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi and the Technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation will soon release the list of home-based players who will resume camping ahead of Nigeria’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers which starts with a home game against Chad on June 13 at the Abuja national stadium.
Completesportsnigeria.com understands from the media officer of the Nigerian senior national team, Toyin Ibitoye on Friday that the chief coach of the Eagles and the Technical committee members of the NFF are putting heads together on which players to invite for camping in Abuja.
“The coach, Stephen Keshi and the Technical Committee of the NFF will make official the names of the home-based Eagles players for the camping in the coming days. It will soon be made public.
“There have been different reports in some sections of the media saying the camping will resume on a particular date but nothing concrete has been agreed in that regard.
“The coach may have told someone that camping will resume by mid May but its not official yet,” Ibitoye further confirms to Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ibitoye did not confirm the deadline for the foreign-based players to join their home-based teammates but their arrivals are expected to be the end of May when all European leagues will be concluded.
