–Eagles gaffer out to avoid mistakes in AFCON qualifier
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has stated that they will not be taking Les Sao, the Chadian senior men’s national team for granted, when both sides meet next month in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
Keshi, who recently signed a two-year contract with the Nigeria Football Federation, says they will learn from past mistakes and won’t be taking any team for granted.
“We are not taking Chad for granted, neither are we taking any other team for granted,” he told sl10.ng.
“We want to take every team seriously and avoid giving things away. We must learn from previous mistakes and I’m sure the players know that too,” he stated.
The 53-year old went on to further solicit for support and patience from the Nigerian fans.
“I urge the fans to be patient and support the team,” he continued, “They need to have belief in their team and with time we will meet our targets,” he reiterated.
The Super Eagles will begin their qualifying campaign for the 2017 AFCON with a home game against Les Sao of Chad on the weekend of June 12-14.
The former African champions are in group G of the qualifiers, and will also play Tanzania and Egypt for a place in Gabon.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
