REAL MADRID star Sami Khedira has AGREED personal terms with Arsenal over a January switch to the Emirates Stadium.
But the Gunners must now agree a fee with Madrid for the Germany World Cup winner.
Khedira has entered the final year of his contract and is yet to agree fresh terms to stay at the Bernabeu.
And with that, the 27-year-old midfielder would be able to leave the Spanish giants on a FREE next summer.
Madrid bosses are keen to cash-in on Khedira in the new year, rather than face the prospect of losing him for absolutely nothing in nine months time.
Reports in Spain suggest Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hopes to agree a cut-price fee with Madrid for Khedira during the winter transfer window.
But the Frenchman will face competition from old rival Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
Mourinho signed Khedira for Madrid during his time in charge of the club and is understood to be keen on a reunion with the player at Stamford Bridge.
