Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he won’t be resting any of his top stars in Saturday’s English Premier League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The 2018 UEFA Champions League finalist have one of the potent strike forces in the EPL in Saido Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firimino.
Liverpool are currently third in the EPL table, six points ahead of fifth placed Chelsea who are still in the hunt of a top four finish.
Klopp revealed during his pre-match conference on Friday at Melwood that he won’t be leaving nothing to chance as they look to secure Champions League football for next season.
“We have two semis again against Chelsea and Brighton and then we have two weeks. (The league) is equally important,” Klopp said during his pre-match conference.
“There’s a financial thing, but we want to be there, we want to play the best teams in Europe.”
“It’s the biggest club competition, we want to be part of it. We want to be as successful as possible.
“We trained and recovered in Rome thanks to Lazio giving us that chance.”
“We have to be recovered. Today we train for Chelsea.”
The German coach was also pleased with the fitness of Loris Karius, Jordan Henderson and James Milner.
“I am really happy with his (Karius) progress and there is a lot more to come, I’m sure.
“He’s been a big part in us being more stable.
“Both Loris and Simon Mignolet are in a good shape, physical and mental.”
“I was never in any doubt. Him and Millie more experienced than the other players.
“Fantastic job, on and off the pitch. They showed up because they have the quality and mindset for it.
“In midfield we are really thin.”
