Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has urged his side to play with anger and avoid being complacent when they host Hull City at Anfield on Saturday.

The German in his pre-match conference on Thursday tasked his side to create more scoring opportunities in the game to improve their chances of beating a defensive Hull side in front of their home fans.

"It’s positive to create chances but when we miss, we need to be positive again. Everybody has their role," Klopp said.

"We have to learn it. It’s not about Hull, it’s about bus parking teams. You don’t always win five, six like Barcelona, they don’t always do it.

"It’s really important that everybody understands. This one issue that everybody is talking about. We didn’t score goals from just counter-attacks.

"They’re very good defending teams. They defended with all they had, it’s the same with Hull. We have to move and create moments and score.

"If everybody gives us this in 90 minutes, 95 minutes, the chance of winning is much greater.

"We feel good, we feel strong. We need to be angry against Hull – they want our points.

"We need to be maximum concentrated.

"I think we all can improve: players, coaches, manager.

"I don't want to say anything about Hull. We don't have to rate the opponent before the game and say 'This one is easy'."

Klopp also believes Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana will be fit for the clash.

“Yes, I think so. But it depends on the training.

“Same with Adam, he felt the intensity of the last few games. No need to try anything with him [vs Derby]. But it’s different.

“We have another two days and we will see.”

The former Borussia Dortmund gaffer also bared his mind on his side's fourth round clash against Tottenham in the EFL Cup next month.

"First draw I saw live. West Ham v Chelsea made me smile, United v City – nice. I'm happy to be playing at home (against Tottenham)."

"When I came here I had to be explained why we play strong line-ups [in the cups].

"It’s a big boost for us. It’s exciting. I am happy about playing at home [vs Spurs].

"I’m really looking forward to it!”
