Knee Problem Keeps Heartland Goalie Out

Heartland of Owerri goaltender, Ebere Obi faces a long spell out over injury concerns.


The former Enugu Rangers goalkeeper is yet to taste action in the eight week old season after picking up a knee injury during one of the Naze Millionaires pre season trainings, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

“Ebere has a knee injury problem, he has not played for us si ce this season but the good news is that he’s getting better now and would get back into action,” Cajethan Nkwopara, spokesman of the club said after efforts to reach the goalkeeper failed.

Ebere Obi is immediate elder brother to Chelsea of England and Super Eagles midfielder, John Obi Mikel.
