India coach Ravi Shastri has claimed Virat Kohli’s fitness continues to improve every day ahead of the third Test against England. The two teams get the third Test underway at Trent Bridge this weekend, with England currently 2-0 up in the series.
Kohli was forced off during the second Test last week after suffering a back injury. His team eventually went on to lose by a resounding innings and 159 runs.
Despite him failing to finish the previous match, Shastri says he is making good progress ahead of Saturday’s opening day.
Shastri said: “He is feeling much better. You saw him in the nets, he is moving much better and improving by the day.”
