Vincent Kompany has paid tribute to Kelechi Iheanacho after the Nigerian yougster scored the winner in Manchester City triumph in the inaugural International Premier League Cup.
Iheanacho, who is expected to star in Nigeria’s bid for the U-20 World Cup title later this month in New Zealand, capitalised on a poor backpass to round the Porto goalkeeper and score in the fifth minute.
The Manchester City captain is convinced that the youngster and his teammates has a bright future in the game.
“Kelechi is just 18 years old and he`s a very important player for us in the future.
“With the teams display against Porto i’m sure he his going to come good soon.
City stars, Edin Dzeko and Aleksander Kolarov were among those who
watched from the stands.
He is a good player not by surprise because he has my blood. Thanks kompany
