The General Manager of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Alhaji Haruna Maigidansanma has confirmed that the car in which the team's technical crew was traveling with was involved in a minor accident on Friday.
A statement issued by spokesman of the club, Olayinka Owolewa quoted General Manager of the club, Maigidansanma as saying that the incident occurred in Ifon area of Ondo state, adding that no life was lost in the accident.
Owolewa told completesportsnigeria.com that the incident occured when the car in which the team's coaches were traveling hit a vehicle parked by the road side while trying to give way when an unknown vehicle was pursuing another one.
He further hinted that there were four occupants in the coaches' car, including Technical Adviser , Tunde Abdulrahman, his assistant, Tunde Sani, the driver and the PA to the head coach whose name he did not disclose.
The Kwara United manager disclosed that only the team's Chief Coach, Tunde Sanni and the Personal Assistant to the Technical Adviser, sustained minor injuries.
He stated that both of them are in stable condition and that they will lead the team that will play Bayelsa United on Sunday.
"The players were not involved, they were in a different bus, only the coaches' vehicle was involved in the crash," Owolewa explained.
He gave God the glory that no life was lost in the accident.
The Kwara boss urged the players not to allow the incident affect their showing on Sunday when they file out against Bayelsa United.
