Lazio are ready to offer Davide Zappacosta an escape route away from Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The Rome club are keen to bring in a new right-back in the winter window and have been linked with Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian but the latest reports indicate they could instead move for Zappacosta.

The 26-year-old only joined the Blues for a reported 28million euros from Torino in the summer of 2017 but he has struggled to make a real impact at Stamford Bridge with Cesar Azpilicueta ahead of him in the pecking order.
Zappacosta has managed just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season and Lazio hope to convince the Italy international to return to Serie A next month.
