Italian club SS Lazio have offered Super Eagles combative midfielder Ogenyi Onazi €700,000 euros a year to extend his current deal at the club.
The Nigerian international who has been linked with a move away from the Biancoceleste is holding out for €1million euros and his agent Jonathan Barnett believes an agreement could be reached in the coming days.
“We are in the negotiation phase and we are confident that an agreement could be reached,” Barnett told Lalaziosiamonoi.it Barnett also revealed that the €10m rated star wants to stay at the club.
“The objective of the boy (Onazi) is to become a better player and he is hoping to achieve great things in the Biancoceleste shirt ‘.
Meanwhile, Lazio President Claudio Lotito has placed a €10m price tag on the 22 year old player who featured in all four games for the Super Eagles at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil to wade off interests from the former Golden Eaglets star.
