Reports emanating from France have claimed that French coach Paul Le Guen will not be coaching the Super Eagles despite his being announced by the Nigerian Football Federation as the country’s new head coach.
According to a tweet from Herve Penot, a reporter at L’ Euipe, the NFF are yet to meet terms and conditions for Le Guen to be coach of the Super Eagles.
“Paul Le Guen rejects Nigeria. Frenchman insists the country’s FA (NFF) yet to meet terms & conditions to be coach,” Penot wrote via his handle @hpenot_lequipe
On Monday, The Technical and Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation had recommended the Frenchman Guen, 52, as the new Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles with the appointments subject to agreement of contract terms with the NFF Executive Committee.
Completesportsnigeria.com had exclusively revealed weeks ago that the Frenchman had been given given the job, although the NFF did not confirm the story at the time.
