Wow, it could have been 2-0 only if Ighalo knows how to do a smart 360 degrees turn to shoot that ball from Kali into the net. But no, he wanted to first shove the Libyan defender with his bum so he could get a good angle. Another Libyan defender quickly cleared the ball.
Ighalo scores goal number 2 for Nigeria. This is what we are saying. Be calmed in front of goal. Nobody hates you.
Make changes coach Rohrrrrrrr. This is the best time to do soooooooo. From Ighalo. You deserves an accolade. You have done well. When you doing well I congratulate you. Keep it up. I can see now that Success is about to come in. God bless Nigeria!!!
Ehn…Omo 9ja….??? for ur mouth…? Nobody hates ighalo…? U must be a two mouthed liar.
Should I go and copy all the derogatory comments you and some of your jobless cohorts have made against ighalo since the 24 man list was released…??? Shame on all of you
@Dr. Drey, you can search for any of my comments says I hates someone or Ighalo. Everybody is my friend, that’s me.
You can only understand me if you look at the whole picture of life in my comments. That is me.
That’s why I says, I am talking to those who can think deeply and reasoning with the current situations of Super Eagles and Nigeria as a nation.
Before this match, I have advised Ighalo on this forum on what to do when he scored 3 to 4 goals recently at his club side and he did few of what I said in today’s match. That means our players are reading our comments. Kudos guys!
I don’t celebrate failure my man. Everyone have up and down in life but when the opportunity comes, make used of it before it is too late.
This is the last chance for Ighalo because Success is ready be in charge of his role and some of the new players too.
This is good for Ighalo. He needs to continue to score goals for Nigeria. He needs to continue from where he stopped today. Continuity is the key.
If YOU and your TYPES have missed understood me, you need to rethink again and again before you charged me. No hard feelings my people. I love you all. Happy weekend my people. God bless us all. God bless Nigeria!!!
However, Coach Rohr, you have done well. I used to be your number one fan before but like I have said before now, you have to convinced me locally and globally for you to wins my heart again.
Once again, you have done well in today’s match and everyone in happy. Please don’t stopped there. God bless Nigeria!!!
Like i wrote in my previous post, competition with Success Isaac would bring out the beast in Ighalo. We can all see that today.
Meanwhile,it doesn’t matter how many goals south Africa score against Seychelles we have advantage over them for beating Libya they drew with at home
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh my goodness. What a goal from Kalu. Wow…. wow… Well done Onyekuru. Up Eagles. This is what we all wanted from you Eagles. Sir, Rohr you got it right today. You nailed it. God bless Nigeria!!!
Dr Drey nobody hates anyone if you’re not doing well you get the stick and everyone soul in Nigeria was never happy with Ighalo including yourself back to the stats as expected we won. I will await South Africa after our second leg with Libya as the real test. Ola aina was a game changer!
Well said CES, but there’s a huge difference btw constructive and destructive criticisms. And i’m glad ighalo shut the mouths of ur likes and omo9ja’s mouth for good today. Left for ur likes….ighalo’s nigerian passport sef should be torn into pieces not to talk of him playing for our national team. You all insult him for scoring in china as if he uses his hands to throw the ball into the net there. A certain Asamoah Gyan was playing in UAE at his peak and was still an instrumental part of Ghana Black stars. Go and bring ur Amrouche to come and replace G.rohr too, since according to many of you he is better. For the 2nd time in consecutive qualifiers, Rohr’s team is hitting a top runner in the group by 4-0 at home. Give the man some respect pls
Ighalo has redeemed himself alot today but he’s still not off the hook yet. He needs to be more consistent, i’m sure rohr will be telling everyone i told you so!! I would like to see onyekuru get more playing time, the boy is toooooo talented to be getting only 5-10 minutes per game. In my opinion kalu played poorly for most of the game, making bad decisions until that goal. And iwobi, ooh my gosh words can’t express, he’s our consistent shining light on the field. Up eagles!!
Thank God it’s all over now. You deserves to keep the ball Ighalo. 3 goals in single match is not an easy fit.
Nobody hates you like I always said.
You and the entire team have done well today. I want the best for my country. I’m happy. Thank God. Thank God. Thank you God. Happy weekend my people. God bless Nigeria!!!
Story for the Gods. I can imagine wat u would have said if this match had ended 0-0 draw.
We won now and you are thanking God and not acknowledging the coach, if it had been the other way round, you would have insulted ighalo and the coach to high heavens. Shame on you…!!!
My take from this game: the keeper did very well the few times he was called upon, even though his distribution was a big disappointment. Our defenders did a good job individually but collectively, there were times they lost concentration. In midfield, I will always go for oghenekaro etebo ahead of Onazi simply because he has the football control of a LA masia graduate from Spain with trait of a hard tackler when need be. He is a very good foil for Ndidi. As for Iwobi, I can’t sing his praises enough. His passes were glorious. Always available to pick passes and spread the play. Dream passes all over the pitch culminating in that ighalo goal. Can’t believe we have gotten our zinedine zidane in midfield. My fears is that when Mikel returns to the team, he might be forced to the wings thus limiting his wife range of skillset.coach will decide. I’m happy for the much maligned ighalo. Strikers feed off goals and build confidence from there. I hope he will pick up from here. The attack did well but played sometimes too individually.Kalu’s decisions let him down so much and I also realized he was increasingly frustrated by his below par game and that affected his all round play. Happy he got the goal.its also important for fans to be patient with our players. If ighalo Was The one that missed the chance Henry missed, Nigerians wouldn’t have forgiven him forgetting that he does more than just try to score. Finally, the new left back did very well and was so unlucky not to have scored in the first half. Confident with the ball and attacks far better than Idowu down the channel. The coach is doing well, there is greater room for improvement. Up Super Eagles
October 13, 2018! The day that Iwobi respectfully retired Mikel from Super Eagles!
Taking nothing away from our most patriotic and committed skipper, Mikel Obi, but from today it’s obvious that he should not be expecting to start as number 10 ahead of Iwobi. For the first time in a very long while, we saw quick transition from midfield to attack, fluid exchange of passes from defence through midfield to attack. The difference was Iwobi in that No. 10 role.
Mikel still have at least 2 more years in Super Eagles but he should from this moment accept in good faith to play backup to Iwobi.
Congratulations, Nigeria! The new Super Eagles is here!
Not forgetting the stabilising impact of Etebo in the midfield, freeing Iwobi to rove, while his tight marking helped Ndidi to tidy up things in the middle, with the net effect of reducing pressure on the defence. Henceforth, Super Eagles standard midfield combo should be Ndidi, Etebo and Iwobi!
Up Super Eagles!
Your kinds will change their username to come and say thrash here I don’t blame you since you are fortunate to find us as your fellow Nigerian that is why you voice your mediocrity. It is people like you that are moved by false impression. Eguje kinds
Ola Aina really surprised me!! Oh my word!! And Kalu, at a point you were beginning to try too much jopr. Your silky talent is not in dispute, but try to be more of a team player going forward than seeking for self glory. Fantastic goal by the way. You’ve cemented your place in the team. But Simon Moses should be on the bench to keep you on your toes.
I see why Uzoho will remain number one at least for now. Ahh!! Iwobi!! You stepped up and became the engine room. Real mature play that almost eclipsed Ndidi.
Etebo will be hard to displace in that team. A real workaholic. More days on the bench for John Ogu.
Jamiu Collins. Breathless stuff!! Brian Idowu must be real worried.
Leon Balogun, mheen, nothing beats experience. You’ve got it man.
Ekong, classic example of total commitment. A true captain’s attitude.
Well done, boys and Mr. Rohr. Some little patches here and there and the team should become a well oiled killing machine.
Ighalo is the sweetest thing that Nigeria have to eat. Today Ighalo is the first Nigerian player to ever score 3 goals in a single International match since Yakini of late memory.
I’m not the sort of person who shy away from my words Ighalo scored 3 goals that any striker will score doesn’t make me change my words but what about his overall performance aside the free open chance and already beaten keeper chance ls that he was given? Libya has always been beaten by super eagles this is a team that lost their coach just days to a major match. No good team will have Ighalo as their star striker any day I will pick Isaac ahead of him!
Hahahahaha……pls clean the left side of your lips….yes the left side…..thats gd..thank you. You’ve just cleaned your lies.
Tell me how goals are scored if the opponent does not make a mistake. A certain legendary brazilian named Bebeto was famed to be ‘the one that never shoots the ball into the net…he passes into the net’. Another ex holland and Man Utd legend is Ruud van nistelroy….nicknamed the fox in the box….famed for always being at the right place at the right time to tap goals in. Another is Roy makaay…nicknamed ‘the spirit’ bcos of the way he ghosts behind opposition to finish cooly into the net. I cant remember when a goal was ever ruled out by a referee in a soccer game bcos it was a tap in
I wish all our strikers can always position themselves properly to recieve easy tap ins and score hattricks on every match day.
All of a sudden libya is a rag-tag team. Same libya that you and your jobless cohorts were praising to the high heavens and even rating their runaway coach as the best on the continent.
Pls tell Success to score 20 goals in one season first at watford then we will take note of him. But for now…pls learn to give honour to whom it is due
Listen well I have always said Libya is a walkover but please can you beat your chest that Ighalo is a clinical finisher? Even you Drey didn’t put Ighalo in your pre match starting eleven so stop been ignorant! Go and read pre match comments no one is happy with Ighalo and we all went for Isaac and I’m still sticking to it because I know Ighalo from youth days has always failed us.
Quite fortunately for you, i didnt post my pre-match starting 11 on CSN….as a mater of fact, my pre-match 18 was apt….even before the offical list was released except that I started Aina over Shehu. The Issac success ur are ranting about to come and lead our forward line is a perpetual bench warmer in the same watford team where ighalo was a guaranteed starter before he moved to china. Your Isaac Success is still yet to hit 10 league goals over all since debuting in europe, yet he is the answer to the SE forward line. Pls give honour to whom it is due at all times. As much as u r quick to criticize ighalo wen he plays badly…eulogize him on days like these wen he does his job well too. Dont come here and and give us that crap that he was scoring against chinese league like defenders or he was scoring tap ins. the young man is scoring over 20 league goals in one season for the 2nd time in his professional career and just scored a hattrick for the super eagles..the first player to do that in 5 yrs and the 2nd in over 15 years. Dont come here and downplay or undermine that.
And by the way what meaningful achievements have you attained in ur own life to come here and start casting aspersions over someone else’s achievements…!!!
I take note of the following words, ” Ighalo scored 3 goals any striker could score” but l said, today our Ighalo is the first Nigerian player to score 3 goals in a single international match since Yakubu Yakini of the late memory. Coach Rohr saw something in Ighalo while scoring those goals in China that we here never see. Lets see what happens from here on and if it should continue like today, The Ighalo we saw today may return to the Premier League just like Salah of Egypt returned to Liverpool after his debacle time in Chelsea. Today is a good day for Nigerian Football. I enjoyed it.
Una no get talk. You are not a good fan if you just criticize for the sake of it. A good fan supports his team and players when the times are tough but so many eagles fans are fair weathers. Ighalo is the best and most experienced finisher Nigeria have for now. Even when he didn’t score, you could see the efforts but for an average Nigerian, all we want to see is goals. We forget that there is more to a football match. Oliver Giroud didn’t score throughout in Russia but was always the first in the team sheet because of his link up play. Let’s learn to be good fans even as we want the players to be good players
