Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente has again spoken of a desire to return to Spain when his contract expires this summer. The 33-year-old has struggled for game time since arriving at the club from Swansea City in the summer of 2017, and is pining for a return to La Liga, where he has represented Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla in the past.
Llorente came off the bench to help Spurs fightback against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday night, but the chance to go back to Spain remains firmly in his thoughts. “I’ve been away from home for many years, I’d love to go back to La Liga,” Llorente told reporters after the game.
A chance to return may present itself in January, but for now Llorente is ready to fight for his place in the Spurs side and answer the call when needed. “I came on and things went well, so I’m happy to have helped the team,” he added.
“I hope I continue to have opportunities, it’s important for me because it gives me the confidence to keep working. “It’s not easy when you do not play because mentally you have to be very strong to continue training hard.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
