LMC Shifts Wolves, Abia Warriors Tie

LMC Shifts Wolves, Abia Warriors Tie

The League Management Company has shifted by 48 hours the match day 10 fixture between Warri Wolves and Abia Warriors.

The match was earlier billed for Wednesday but had to be moved following Wolves' delayed return from Congo where they engaged A.C Leopards in a CAF Confederation Cup match.

The venue remains the Warri City Stadium.

"The team returned late from Congo on Tuesday after a strenuous journey and the LMC listened to our plea by shifting it to Friday

"The venue remains the Warri City Stadium and the kick off time is 4pm," Etu Moses, spokesman of the club, said in a short statement made available tocompletesportsnigeria.com.

However, Captain of the Club, Azubuike Egwuekwe has appealed to Nigerians to remain hopeful in view of the three goals conceded in the first leg and that, they have what it takes to qualify for the next stage.

Azubuike attributed the loss to bad officiating from Referee Joseph Odiatey Lamptey who frustrated every move of the Warri Boys and the bad pitch which did not allow them to play their normal game.
