By Adeboye Amosu: Abia Warriors, Yobe Desert Stars, Heartland and Niger Tornadoes will have to look for temporary grounds to play their home matches after the League Management Company suspended them from using the Umuahia Township, 27th August Stadium in Damaturu, Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerris and Confluence Stadium, Lokoja for at least the next two weeks in the Nigeria Professional Football League, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
The LMC explained the decisions in a series of tweets on Saturday, stating that they took the decision following reports by match officials that the pitches in the three stadia are not in good condition.
The suspension is to allow the four clubs work on their playing surfaces and put it in proper shape for the rest of the season.
The management of both clubs have been advised to work on the playing surfaces and not hold any activity there for the period of suspension.
They have also been told to nominate an alternative venues for their NPFL home games with effect from Match day 10
