Nigerian born forward, Chuba Akpom, is pleased Brighton & Hove Albion clinched an automatic promotion to the English Premier League next season despite Sunday's 1-1 draw against Aston Villa in the final day of the English Football League season, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Akpom's Brighton & Hove Albion sealed their return to the top flight for the first time in 34 years with the draw but missed out on a fourth league title in 16 years with the draw with Newcastle clinching the EFL title.
The 21 year old on loanee from Arsenal played ten games during his short stint with the Seagulls.
He wrote beneath a picture he posted on Instagram: "It's been a tough season for me with injuries and other setbacks but glad to have gained another promotion, thank you and congrats to everyone associated with @officialbhafc."
