By Kayode Ogundare in Uyo:

Seven players have arrived at the camp of the Super Eagles in Uyo ahead of next week’s international friendly against DR Congo in Port Harcourt, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The players are Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer with 18 goals Junior Lokosa, who recently returned from Bulgaria, Elderson Echiejile, Ogenyi Onazi, Willian Troost-Ekong, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina and Ikechukwu Ezenwa.

The players took a picture with the Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, and his backroom staff which was posted on the official Twitter handle of the Super Eagles on Monday night.

“In camp at the moment. World Cup bound @NGSuperEagles #SoarSuperEagles,” the tweet reads.

The players had their first training session at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium along with the Super Eagles B players billed to face Atletico Madrid in Tuesday’s GOTV Max Cup friendly.

I personally don’t understand the Congolese match, am scare of injury. We understand they want to give us a send off, this men have gone through a hectic season in their various clubs, this particular match is too physical. Come on Super Eagles, make us proud in Russia.

I agree with you. Yhe whole situations surrounding the match do not make sense.

    • @Presh You took those words out of my mouth. I didn’t know I had an identical twin somewhere. Anyway, we can manage to survive the match unscathed by being very careful. Let’s not worry about the score line.
