Vasyl Lomachenko wants to take on Mikey Garcia in 2019 as he attempts to become the undisputed lightweight champion. The Ukrainian has made huge waves in the sport since turning professional in 2013 and he is eyeing further history in 2019.
Lomachenko claimed his first world title in just his third pro fight, became a two-weight champion in his seventh trip to the ring and he beat Jorge Linares last time out to stake his claim as a three-weight world champion.
The 30-year-old is due to take on WBO champion Jose Pedraza on December 8 and he is already eyeing the next step in his career.
The double Olympic gold medallist has set his sights on WBC and IBF champion Garcia as he looks to hold all four titles in the division.
Lomachenko said: “My next fight in December is with Pedraza to unify titles, after this we can talk about 2019.
“I think it will be Mikey Garcia because he has two titles and the winner takes it all.
“Now, I stop at 135lbs and after a couple of years I go up to 140. It depends on how I feel and my size. Nobody knows what will happen over the years, maybe I could even go down.
“My father taught me boxing and showed me what this beautiful sport means.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
