Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes is waiting to open discussions with the board about extending his contract at the club. The 28-year-old is one of a plethora of Les Gones’ squad to have come through their famed academy system and has been a regular between the sticks since the 2013-14 season, having made his debut in the previous campaign.
Lopes’ current deal at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais expires in 2020 and, when speaking to OL TV, he expressed some doubt that he would stay.
Although born on the outskirts of Lyon, the goalkeeper plays for Portugal due to his parentage.
He has hinted that he could be tempted by a move to the western side of the Iberian Peninsula but will see if the board’s vision matches his own before making a final call.
“It will be necessary to see with the leaders if they want to keep me,” he told OL TV. “I will defend my colours and my club to the end. My contract ends in 2020.
“Regarding Portugal, I had a long discussion with the coach I know where I want to go. I focus a little more on OL and my family. ” Lopes will be in action on Friday evening when Lyon host St Etienne in the first Rhone derby of the season.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
