Super Eagles assistant coach Jean Francois Loscuito has declared the team ready for the African Nations Championship in Rwanda after the team's tune-up friendlies in Pretoria, South Africa, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Eagles played three friendlies in South Africa; against South Africa Premier League side, Amatuks, and the national teams of Angola and Cote d' Ivoire.
Loscuito, who recently underwent a surgery in South Africa spoke with Completesportsnigeria.com.
"The team is ready. The trainings have been very nice, everyday. The friendly matches were quite helpful in our preparations. We are ready for it.
"The players are focused on the challenges ahead and they want to go to Rwanda and win the title.
"Nigerian players understand their coaches' tactical plans quite easily, so we've not had much problems," the former ASFA Yenaga of Burkina Faso coach said satisfactorily.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) in a release on Wednesday revealed that Sunday Oliseh's team will arrive the landlocked east-central African country on Friday and will stay at the Hillview Hotel in Kigali.
The team's first game of the Championship will hold on Monday against Niger.
