Goalkeeper Jonas Lossl says he is confident Huddersfield Town’s strikers will start to fire on all cylinders. The Terriers have just two points from five Premier League matches this season – drawing twice and losing the other three games – and only two goals have been scored during the disappointing start to the campaign.
Defender Jon Stankovic found the back of the net in the 6-1 defeat to Manchester City, whilst midfielder Philip Billing struck in the 1-1 draw against Everton at Goodison Park.
None of Huddersfield’s six strikers have got off the mark and there is a real worry the Yorkshire outfit won’t have enough firepower to keep themselves in England’s top flight this term.
However, Lossl, who was in goal for Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace, is not of the same opinion and he is confident the forward players will start to produce the goods.
“I have no doubt that they are trying both in training and in games to score,” he was quoted as saying by The Huddersfield Daily Examiner. “We just need to continue this effort and performances and the results will come, I am sure.”
