As for Republic of Ireland, head coach Martion O'Neill was forced to make one change from the  1-1 draw with Sweden after Jonathan Walters was ruled out through injury.

Three second half goals by Lukaku and  Witsel gave the Belgians the win.
As expected, Belgium  dominated possession with the likes of Eden Hazard and Kevin  de Bruyne impressing for the Red Devils.
They were however unable to breach Ireland's defence in the first half.

The breakthrough however came for them three minutes after the break when Everton forward Lukaku who was  widely criticised for his insipid display in his side's opening fixture against Sweden scored the opener.

De Bruyne led a counter attack and laid a delightful ball into the path of Lukaku who smashed it into the bottom corner with his left foot.
Wilmots' men doubled their lead a minute after the hour mark through the impressive Witsel.

Witsel got on the end of a lovely cross from Thomas Meunier and nodded the ball into the net.
Belgium didn't have to wait  too long for the third goal to arrive as Lukaku bagged is second of the game in the 70th minute to end any chance of a comeback  by Ireland.
