Romelu Lukaku has admitted Manchester United need to improve significantly but says he’s not affected by the critics. United came from 2-0 down to beat Newcastle on Saturday night to end their recent poor run of form and ease the pressure on under-fire boss Jose Mourinho, who was reportedly on the verge of the sack before the game.
Lukaku says the Magpies were given far too many chances at Old Trafford but the Red Devils finally responded in the second half as Juan Mata, Anthony Martial and an injury-time Alexis Sanchez header earned them a memorable comeback win.
The striker said: “Every time Newcastle had chances they could have scored. It was a bit difficult but in the second half we told ourselves to believe in ourselves.”
The Belgium international knows they need to improve but he insists he’s not bothered by the criticism as he doesn’t read much in the media.
He added: “We have to perform much better. I don’t know what media say because I haven’t read the papers since the World Cup.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
