Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is not happy with the media attention on Marcus Rashford following the teenage striker’s brace in the 3-2 win over Arsenal.
Van Gaal however believes Rashford will be guided by Manchester United’s more experienced players.
Van Gaal said during his press conference on Tuesday ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League games against Watford: “The older players will guide him and I hope to guide you also in this press conference: he is getting too much attention and it’s not always easy to deal with that attention.
“It’s remarkable and I can understand that you are praising him, but still he has to show his consistency.
“First I think that the media have to leave him in peace. When you are in front of his house and that kind of stuff, I don’t think that is beneficial for a boy of 18 years.”
The Dutchman then tipped Leicester City to take their fairytale all the way and win the title.
“I think always the number one has the biggest chance, and that is Leicester – you can see for yourself,” Van Gaal added.
“Tottenham are playing very well I think, so they have a big chance, they are two points behind.
“Tottenham and Leicester both have to play against us, so you never know.”
Van Gaal also hopes United can continue their winning streak against Watford.
“It is a very difficult programme for us because we have to recover within two days for the second time,” he said.
“We have a small selection so it’s difficult and I cannot rotate too much. But I feel that the players are doing everything to recover.
“They are very professional and I hope that we can continue.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
