Sevilla head coach Pablo Machin says his side have deserved better results than they have been getting so far this season. Los Rojiblancos have made an average start to the season, taking four points from four La Liga matches, and the club are languishing down in 12th position in the table at this early stage of the campaign.
Machin’s men have lost their last two matches – 1-0 to Real Betis and 2-0 to Getafe – but they will be hoping to bounce back to form in Thursday’s Europa League clash against Standard Liege at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Despite winning just one league match this term, the Spanish tactician is feeling positive about the state of his squad and believes better results will come.
“The result masks a lot of things that happen in the game and I know that what I am saying may sound unpopular, but we are not playing badly,” Machin was quoted as saying by Marca.
“It is true that we have made mistakes but overall I am happy with the performances and of course I would like improvements everywhere.”
