Lobi Stars are close to sealing a move for former Enyimba captain, Josiah Maduabuchi.
Completesportsnigeria.com scooped that the lanky midfielder was at the Aper Aku Stadium last weekend to watch Lobi’s home game against El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and is in line to pen a deal with the Pride of Benue.
Maduabuchi was on the books of Warri Wolves last season and helped the Seasiders secure a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
He was earlier linked with a move to Abia Warriors, but the move fell through as both parties failed to reach an agreement.
The Makurdi-based outfit have already strengthened their team with the acquisition of prolific hitman, Abdulrahman Bashir from Enyimba, who is expected to form a partnership with Maduabuchi to help improve the fortunes of the club.
Other new Lobi players include Michael Ogu (Abia Warriors), Akleche Enokela (ABS) and Stephen Ejovwo (J. Atete FC).
