–Says due process must be followed
Former president of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari has called on stakeholders to be calm as concerted efforts are being made to resolve the crisis that has engulfed Nigerian football for 11 weeks now.
Speaking soon after he was released from detention by security operatives Tuesday afternoon, Maigari stated that what is happenen can only make Nigeria football stronger.
“I was detained for a full day at SARS without probing and today, they asked me to go. So, I am calling on allstakeholders to bury the hatched and let us do the right thing,” he stated.
He stated that they are still trying to meet those concerned and reach common a common ground by allowing the congress to decide and follow due process in electing a new board.
