The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Aminu Maigari has sounded the disappointment of the Nigerian football house over the uninspiring 0-0 draw which the national team played against the Mehli of Iran on Monday.
Despite the poor showing of the national team, Maigari insists that the NFF will continue to show support to the coaching crew with the belief that they will still rise to the occasion in the course of the World Cup.
“We are not satisfied with this result because we know that all Nigerians were expecting victory from the team, ” Maigari remarked.
“The NFF is not associated with failure. Although we have not totally failed yet, we are not happy with the performance of our team. But we will continue to support them.
Interestingly Maigari revealed he will sit down with the players and technical crew to fashion out a winning formula in their next game on Saturday against Bosnia.
“I will give the players and technical crew some time to settle down, then we will sit down to find solutions for our next game.
“My appeal to Nigerians is to continue to pray for the team. All hope is not lost,” the Nigerian FA boss concluded.
