Wikki Tourists head coach Abdu Maikaba says his side will not give up hopes of winning a first Nigeria Professional Football League title despite trailing leaders Enugu Rangers with three points with two games remaining to the end of the campaign, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Tourists beat Rivers United 1-0 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi on Sunday to stay in the title race.

They sit in third position in the NPFL table.

Maikaba insisted that his side will continue to fight for the title until the end of the campaign.

"Wikki still has the chance to win the league as we are only three points behind the leaders, Enugu Rangers," he told Rivers United Media.

"We have a better goals  difference compared to Rangers so if they lose an away game, we will be tied with them on points but we need to win our last two matches."

Maikaba's charges will travel to Ibadan this weekend where they will take on relegation-haunted Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium.

Their final game of the campaign is at home against Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure.
