South Africa champions Mamelodi Sundowns took a step closer to their first ever CAF Champions League title on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Zamalek in the first leg of the final.
Sundowns beat the Egyptians home and away in the group stages and Pitso Mosimane's side displayed their superiority again in Pretoria.
Anthony Laffor opened the scoring in the 40th minute when he shot past the Zamalek keeper from inside the box.
Tebogo Lengerman made it 2-0 five minutes after the break with a stunning shot from about 30 yards.
Eslam Gamal handed Sundowns the third goal when he tapped a cross into his own net.
The second leg comes up in Alexandria.
