Mamo Signs For Wolves

Warrington have snapped up Jake Mamo from Huddersfield after the utility back penned a one-year deal with the Wolves. The 24-year-old arrived in Super League with the Giants from Newcastle Knights in 2017 and has spent the last two seasons in west Yorkshire, before now making the switch over the Pennines.

Wolves coach Steve Price knows all about Mamo from his time in the NRL and is delighted to have him on board. “I’ve watched Jake closely for a number of years over in the NRL and also in the Super League at Huddersfield,” Price said.

“He has a lot of quality attributes and brings a lot of enthusiasm. “He competes really hard and can play in a number of positions – in a centre, wing, fullback type role. He’s going to be a great acquisition for our footy club.”

Mamo is also delighted with the move, adding: “I’m very excited to be signing for the Warrington club with its history. I’ve been wanting to join a strong club for a long time so I’m excited for this opportunity and am thankful to Steve (Price), Simon (Moran) and Karl (Fitzpatrick).”
