Manchester United are on the verge of their first summer signing after reaching a deal to sign defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
Lindelof, 22, is a Sweden international who has played 12 times for his country, scoring once.
“Manchester United is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Benfica for the transfer of Victor Lindelof, subject to a medical examination, international clearance and personal terms,” the Premier League club announced on Saturday night.
“A further announcement will be made once the transfer is complete.”
The deal is reported to be worth around £30m.
