Manchester United and Chelsea are reported to have reached an agreement for the transfer of Nemanja Matic.
According to The Telegraph, a fee of between £40m to £45m was agreed between the Premier League clubs for the Serbia midfielder on Saturday and the player travelled to Manchester on Sunday for medicals.
A picture of Matic, who will clock 29 on Tuesday, has even emerged on Twitter where he is seen wearing a United training top with the number 31.
While there are doubts about the authenticity of the picture, some claim it is real.
Matic was one of Chelsea’s key players when they won the EPL title under current Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho in 2015.
He was also key to the Blues winning the title again last season under Antonio Conte but his performances were often criticised by the club’s fans.
Chelsea have already signed midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco for £40m as possible replacement for Matic.
