By James Agberebi: Norwegian top flight club, Molde, handled by Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, have resigned Nigerian striker Daniel Chukwu from Polish club Legia Warsaw.
Chukwu’s return to Molde was confirmed on Molde’s official website on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old put pen to paper on a two-year deal until 2020 for an undisclosed fee.
A statement on Molde’s website reads: “Molde Football Club agrees with Polish Legia Warszawa for the transfer of Daniel Chima Chukwu.
“The 26-year-old was a big hit after he first came from Lyn in 2010. In his first time wit Molde, the Nigerian won three championships and two Cups, making him one of the four most successful foreigners in Norway.
“In 2015, he was sold to Shanghai Shenxin FC where he also did well, scoring 21 goals in 49 matches.”
Speaking on his return to Molde, Chukwu expressed his delight.
“It’s great to come home again,” Chukwu said. “I know the club well from the previous period I was here and know what’s going on. I have been here several times while I have been outside and have always been received as part of the family, it is absolutely amazing to know. I was here last in 2016, and Ole Gunnar has always said I’m welcome back. I am very, very pleased to finally be back.”
Commenting on Chukwu’s return Solskjaer who won the Treble with Manchester United in 1999, expressed confidence that Chukwu will perform.
“We are pleased to welcome Chima back. An amazing boy who works incredibly hard to make the team better. In the previous period he won three league titles and two cups, so he knows what’s going to win. Now he comes home with a lot of useful experience from his stay outside, and I know he will give everything to Molde FK.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
