Hull FC second row Sika Manu admits he is looking forward to the challenge of playing Castleford Tigers on Friday evening. Lee Radford’s side face Daryl Powell’s men and go into the clash completely out of form – having lost their last seven consecutive games.
The worst result came last week when they were served a 14-try humiliation at the hands of Warrington Wolves in what is the most difficult period in Lee Radford’s tenure.
They are now a near certainty to not finish in the top four in the Super 8s, meaning they have nothing to play for until the end of the season.
However, Manu says he is looking forward to the challenge posed by Castleford as they are determined to end their losing run.
“The contests between us two sides as always tough and I think that Castleford are a really good side,” Manu told hullfc.com.
“We have played well against Castleford in the past, especially at home. They’re going to be a tough side to play against, but the boys are really looking forward to this one and if we can play to our potential then we have a good chance of winning.
“There is a bit of fatigue in the squad, but we’re obviously working as hard as we can to fix that as soon as possible and hopefully we can string a win together on Friday night.”
