Nigeria U20 coach Manu Garba has stated that there wouldn’t be automatic shirt for players in the team insisting that every player will fight for their place.
In an interview with Sports Radio 88.9 Brila FM, the former Golden Eaglets coach said he will give opportunity to other players to come in and fight for shirt.
“There is no guarantee of automatic shirt for any player, no matter who the player is or where he plays, every player will have to come and prove himself. We are still going to give chance to other players to come and show what they can do because our plan is to create a strong team ahead of the AYC.”
Garba also said the bulk of the players he tutored in the Golden Eaglets will be part of the team.
“Most of the players who were part of the Eaglets will be part of the team because we want to make it a continous process. The likes of Iheanacho, Nwakali, Ezeh, Musa are expected to be in the team.”
