Marseille are waiting to learn the extent of striker Kostas Mitroglou’s injury after he was forced off playing for Greece on Saturday. The OM frontman had be substituted early in the second half of his country’s 1-0 win over Estonia and reports in France say he will undergo tests on Monday to see how serious the problem is.
Mitroglu, who has scored one goal in three games for Marseille so far this season, set up the goal for Greece in the Nations League Group C2 clash before injury struck.
Reports suggest the leg injury could keep the former Fulham and Benfica man out for a couple of weeks but the full extent of the setback will not become clear until Monday or Tuesday.
