Mbappe Warns PSG Against Complacency

Kylian Mbappe feels the way Paris Saint-Germain use the ball in Tuesday’s clash with Red Star Belgrade will be key to the result. The Ligue 1 giants head to Serbia sitting second in Champions League Group C and with a two-point advantage over third-placed Liverpool.

Napoli lead the way on nine points and so the Reds’ clash with the Italians at Anfield looks the key match-up.

One of the trio will miss out on the knockout stage of Europe’s elite club competition and Mbappe knows that victory will guarantee progression in the competition.

The Parisians are expected to dominate the match but the France forward Mbappe feels they must not be complacent during the 90 minutes. “I think we’ll have possession of the ball, but we’ll have to use it well,” he told reporters on Monday. “We’ll have to be able to position ourselves well, move well, make runs and offer up solutions. “Above all, we’ll have to play for each other. To win, you have to score – everyone knows that – so we have to do all we can to create chances and earn ourselves the win tomorrow.”
