James McArthur believes talisman Wilfried Zaha can inspired Crystal Palace to a strong season if he can stay healthy. Zaha was the match-winner last weekend as he returned from injury to score the only goal of the game in the Eagles 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium, ending a run of three consecutive defeats for Roy Hodgson’s men.
The south Londoners have struggled badly without Zaha in the team, failing to win a Premier League match since September 2016, and McArthur admits they are reliant on his attacking talents.
The Scotland international, who recently signed a contract extension with Palace, says the Ivory Coast international could be the difference between a good and bad season, although stopped short of calling the Selhurst Park side a one-man team.
“Listen, he’s a tremendous talent and there’s no doubt when he’s in our team we are a better team, we’re more dangerous,” McArthur told football.london.
“I hope he keeps scoring. His end product got better last year and it’s even better this year. He should have had an assist too with the chance he created for me [against Huddersfield], I should have slotted that away.
“I’d rather keep winning with him in the team than not have him in the team. Let’s hope he stays fit. It is a team game and I’m sure Wilfried [Zaha] would say the work the other boys are doing is vitally important, but he does add that extra bit of quality to the team.
“If he keeps playing like that, we can have a good season.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
