Argentine superstar Lionel Messi has revealed his hope to play Barcelona team mate Neymar in the World Cup final.
Brazil kick off the 2014 World Cup tomorrow against Croatia before Argentina start their campaign on Sunday against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The two South American giants are predicted to reach the final and Messi would relish the occasion should it occur.
Football Espana quoted the genius attacker after he spoke to Sport, Messi said: “It would be a dream to get to the World Cup final.
“For the way things are going I think we can get there. Hopefully I can play Neymar in the final, but if not him, then any team.”
Messi and Neymar have both openly talked about their desire to face each other in the World Cup final and the more it is talked about, the more exciting a prospect it seems.
The world would certainly enjoy the clash and Brazil and Argentina will hope to start positively this week to ensure they can meet in the final on July 13th.
