Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has hailed the progress made by Max Meyer following his display against Manchester United. The Eagles managed to grind out a goalless draw against the Red Devils at Old Trafford, with former Schalke star Meyer one of the standout performers on Saturday.
Former England boss Hodgson has been pleased with the midfielder’s recent progress after what has been a timid start to life in the Premier League following his move from the Bundesliga.
Hodgson said: “I thought he was good last week, and he has been good in training. It was nice for him to play as well as he did, and he was one of many who had a good game.
“Of course with Max, he has been not feeling his way in, but he has been patient waiting for his chance to really grab hold of the shirt, and defy anyone to take the shirt from him.”
