Fidelis Ilechukwu, head coach of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos, has sensationally paid tribute to Plateau United, saying the Jos outfit were the better side despite the Church Club pulling a 1-1 draw in their NPFL match day-9 clash Sunday inside the Rwang Pam stadium, Jos, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Reuben Bala's 49th minute strike had cancelled out Adekunle Adegboyega's first half goal which handed MFM FC the lead.
The draw in Jos guaranteed the Olukoya Boys their fifth point on the road in four away games.
"We had a good game, the result was a reflection of how much both teams put into the match with the aim of getting a result at the end of the encounter," Ilechukwu offered after the nail-bitting game," Ilechukwu told MFM media.
"A lot of things worked for them(Plateau United) which included the pitch. Both teams had plenty of chances to score and we were quick enough to convert one of ours first.
"That does not make us better, no. I believe that Plateau United somehow were better on the night.
"The fact we got a draw does not make us better."
MFM are third in the NPFL log with 15 points from 9 league matches.
They will host table-toppers Enugu Ragers in their next league match at the Agege Stadium on April 6, 2016.
