New Super Eagles invitee Sikiru Olatunbosun is praying for an injury-free experience in the friendlies against Corsica and the Togo, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Mountain of Fire and Miracles forward is one of the four home-based players invited by Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr for Friday's friendly against a Corsica XI and Togo on June 1.
"Training started yesterday (Wednesday) and the atmosphere so far has been quite friendly with the foreign-based players," Olatunbosun told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"My prayer is that I play in those friendlies and not pick up an injury before the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
"So far we are getting along with the players from Europe. I have no idea what the coaches intend but it will be nice to play in both matches."
Olatunbosun also added that the Eagles will accord their hosts the respect they deserve in Friday's game despite Corsica being unheralded in world football.
"Of course they will not be disrespected because they don't play competitive football. There are good players who had played for big football nations that usually represent this kind of selections," Olatunbosun said.
"Togo are no pushovers in African football. I don't know if Emmanuel Adebayor is in for this match. If he is, that will be great."
Aside from Olatunbosun, Rohr also called up Akwa United's Alhassan Ibrahim, FC Ifeanyiubah keeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa and MFM star player and Nigeria Professional Football league leading scorer with 14 goals, Stephen Odey, for the friendlies.
