Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Obi has promised Nigerians a goal in Khartoum when they lock horns with Sudan in an African Nations Cup qualifier.
The Chelsea FC of star who scored a beauty of a goal at the Super Eagles training in Abuja Wednesday evening told Complete Sports after wards that he would like to score such a goal in Sudan.
“I have been working very hard to add goals scoring to my game and I would be glad if I register my name on the score sheet in Khartoum I will work for the team to win and if other players get us the goals we need, good for Nigeria.
“My message to Nigerians is to expect me to score in Sudan if the opportunity comes. I am looking forward to scoring against Sudan but I won’t lose sleep if I don’t get among the goal.
What matters is victory and not about the person who scored” stated Mikel who last scored for Eagles last year at Confederation Cup.
