Mikel, Iheanacho Benched; Moses Out As City Rout Chelsea

Nigeria’s trio of Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Kelechi Iheanacho did not feature as Manchester City defeated Chelsea 3-0.

While Mikel and Iheanacho were unused substitutes, Moses was not in the squad.

It was Iheahacho’s second appearance on the star-studded City bench since his promotion to the senior squad tnis season.
Goals from Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho secured the win for Manchester City.

The duo of Chuba Akpom and Sone Aluko were in action for Hull City as they played a 1-1 away draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers. While Akpom saw action for 90 minutes, Aluko was introduced with 15 minutes remaining for Ahmed El Mohammady. 

Akpom scored on his debut for Hull City in their 2-0 win against Huddersfield Town.

In Belgium, Joseph Akpala replaced Cyriac on 87 minutes as KV Oostende beat Anderlecht 3-1. On parade for Anderlecht was Imoh Ezekiel, who later went off for Aaron Leya in the 79th minute. They’ve both played four games now with Akpala scoring one goal so far.

The game between Cambuur and Feyenoord saw Bartholomew Ogbeche feature but he couldn’t prevent his team from going down 2-0 at home. He was later booked by the referee with five minutes remaining in the match. It was Ogbeche’s third game but he is yet to score.
