Nigerian midfielder Mikel Obi has congratulated his Chelsea team-mates following Monday's 2-1 win against West Ham United in the English Premier League matchday one fixture, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The Blues needed a late goal by Brazilian-born Spanish international forward Diego Costa to claim all three points in their first official game under new manager Antonio Conte after James Collins had cancelled out Eden Hazard's opener for the Stamford Bridge outfit.
The midfielder who is away on international duty took to Twitter to praise his colleagues for the win.
"First game of the season. London Derby. 89th minute winner. Well done Boys," Mikel wrote on his Twitter handle on Tuesday.
Mikel is expected to be in action for the Nigeria U-23 side on Wednesday when they take on Germany in the semi-finals of the men's football event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
