Super Eagles midfielder John Mikel Obi returned to training with Chelsea on Wednesday, two weeks after suffering a head injury.
The 27-year old midfielder who was forced to leave Chelsea’s 4-2 loss to Bradford game early trained alongside new recruit Juan Cuadrado and could play against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday.
Mikel is one of the five overseas players at Chelsea to reach the 300th appearances in the colours of the Blues.
Others include, Petr Cech, Didier Drogba, Gianfranco Zola and Branislav Ivanovic.
He is also in the 18-man fresh squad list submitted for the Barclays Premier League and Champions League.
