Tianjin TEDA midfielder Mikel Obi is confident that the club will find their goal-scoring form soon enough, despite their poor start to the Chinese Super League season.
Tianjin TEDA have failed to score in their opening two games, losing 2-0 to Shandong Luneng and playing a goalless draw away to Jiangsu Suning on Friday.
Nigeria captain Mikel, who arrived on a free from Chelsea during the January transfer window, has featured in both games this season for Tianjin TEDA.
“It’s clear that it is complicated not to have scored after two games but I think the team is gradually on track,” Mikel told sports.enorth.com.cn.
“I believe we will translate the lessons in training to matchday when we resume which will bring the first goal but the fans must be patient.”
Tianjin Teda are now 11th in the CSL table with just one point. They face Chongqing Lifan in their next game on 2 April.
